Follow these training tips for putting on ANY type of clothing, when you're out and about:
Practice A LOT , before venturing away from home, then reward with treats.
To earn his or her trust, be gentle.
Select clothes that are easy to put on and take off. Look for clothes with velcro closings or snaps and generous sized arm holes.
Style is sweet and cute, but select for comfort, too.
Once your dog is accustomed to getting clothes on and off at home, you should not have any problem pulling out a sweater or raincoat, if needed, when you're away from home.

I have a long haired miniature dachshund named, Cocoa, and she loves to get dirty. They are like most children! She will walk through a mud puddle and think nothing of it! We live in the mountains, so she blends in TOO well with the winter colors.
